Sta. Rosa
Sta. Rosa

Santa Rosa flourished with the sisal boom and there are even suggestions that it was built for that purpose, without having passed through a previous stage as a cattle ranch: the oldest records are all 20th century; its last owner was Enrique Vales Monforte. Today there is a luxury hotel and restaurant, and it is run by Starwood Hotels,as part of its Luxury Collection, as are Temozón Sur, San José Cholul and Ochil, among others.

Santa Rosa hacienda belongs to the municipality of Maxcanú. It is located ten kilometers southwest of the Maxcanú road. You can reach it by taking the Merida-Campeche toll road and turning west between Maxcanú and Halachó.
